This is just a note to say yes, I am here. You've seen me around school, just not on the boards. I got behind on reading all these posts, and after trying to catch up, I realize I'm just not going to be able to.

So, I'm starting from now. If there's something I should see, please feel free to point me to it. And if you're new and we haven't met, drop me a note or come by my office, or catch me in the hallway and introduce yourself.

As for ESL, would EFL be a better term? It stands for English as a Foreign Language. A more politically correct term, to be certain.

Yes, it does appear that my cars are most often stolen. Likely because I am one of the few to have my own vehicles here, and I do tend to pick the best ones.

Logan is the one who makes most free with my car or bike. I do hope you're not thinking of following in his footsteps?

I am not pleased with cars being stolen. Borrowed, on the other hand, is more acceptable. Asking before borrowing is necessary.

Heading back to the city to pick up some of my personal belongings. The purple haired femme with the fondness for swords is accompanying me, so I'm assuming that I have permission to use one of the cars. However, if you are the head of the garage, let me know the system. Wouldn't want to be called a thief or anything.

The system is simple. Ask before you use or take. If Betsy helped you, then there shouldn't be a problem. The school has trucks and vans for general use by the adults here, and a few of us have our own cars.

Teaching is either something you can do, or you can't. Most people can. Don't listen to the old adage, "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach." It's hogwash.

I think we have passed each other, but I've been a bit distracted. I must admit, I was concerned when you arrived, and mentioned my concerns to Emma. We should definitely talk sometime. Maybe over breakfast before classes tomorrow?

I should have time before classes tomorrow, sure. I really should meet more of the people here - especially those who have or had concerns about me. Avoiding them doesn't really do much to quell those worries, even if the avoidance is unintentional, on my part.

Well, I hadn't asked him, but then I won't be able to technically get my permit for a couple months, so it's still just sort of an idea.

I doubt I could do anything to the car. I mean, outside of phasing the whole thing, or phasing something and putting it inside the car (which definitely qualifies as a BAD idea) I doubt I could affect it.
