You know...
Aug. 30th, 2005 10:12 pmI am, though I might regret admitting it, more or less reconciled to the fact that there will be clutter and mess of various types in the public areas of the mansion during, oh, exam time, or other periods of high stress around here. Doesn't make me happy to see it, but it's inevitable.
Given this is summer vacation, though, I'm having trouble justifying, let's say, the disaster area that is the rec room. I just picked something off the top of my head, there - there are other examples. Our admittedly highly trained and oftentimes invisible cleaning staff can do a lot, but there's absolutely no reason that they need to be cleaning up after students who can't be bothered to pick up after themselves, rather than dusting the antiques.
So. Stop leaving trails of destruction, or I enroll you all in a compulsory housekeeping course this term. Sound like a plan?

Date: 2005-08-31 04:17 am (UTC)Now I just have to hunt down and glare at the people responsible for the mess by the game systems. Fun.

Maybe the notebook too. Maybe not. I can't remember.

Date: 2005-08-31 02:28 pm (UTC)Because after all, is it going to kill anyone to pick up unclaimed mess for the greater good? I don't think so.

Date: 2005-08-31 02:32 pm (UTC)You can however limit your efforts to the area around the game systems. Just to show you that I'm not a total ogre.

(And that's not what I mean by wearable, before anyone thinks it.)
