I am deeply suspicious.

You've all been stealing my work again, haven't you? I can't find any work to do. All my marking is done. I don't have any training tapes to review, and neither anything scheduled for myself nor gaps in the schedule I could fill. I have reviewed the files that need reviewing this week so many times that I could recite them. There are people in my garage, and I'm not supposed to be touching the Blackbird unsupervised.

I'm bored, and my head's killing me. Someone give me something to do.

There's a lot of snow outside near the jogging paths, for some odd reason... go build a snowman?

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
But that's frivolous. Work, woman. I want work!

[identity profile] x-dazzler.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Frivolous?

Go tell that to the small green boy about to knock on your door. :)

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Evil. You're pure evil.

[identity profile] x-dazzler.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Naw. Evil would be siccing him on you when you have work to do.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently we have to put my spare pair of glasses on our soon-to-be-snowman.

[identity profile] x-dazzler.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
*dies laughing*

He came up with that on his own!

[identity profile] x-mirage.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
mind if I ask you some questions about these engines? they *look* like they should be doing very different things, but the books says they're the same

[identity profile] x-mirage.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
wait. nevermind, not if your head hurts. I'll just see you at office hours tomorrow.

but I have tea that is supposed to relax you if you'd like a cup. I think it works.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you sure? I could take a look at them for you. Or maybe in a bit. When I stop seeing double. (Joking, people, really.)

[identity profile] x-mirage.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm bringing you tea. stay there.

Considering...

[identity profile] x-jetstream.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That my spine area _hates me_ right now, why don't you go play with the pretty pretty Lady down in the hangar?

Salaam,
Haroun

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, may I? I promise to treat her respectfully and only take her to the nicest restaurant for dinner. And no parking.

You had best be home by ten!

[identity profile] x-jetstream.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Young man!

You treat her like a LADY!

Salaam,
Haroun

I hear mah-jong is an interesting (and educational!) past time.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Raincheck? Apparently I'm being accosted by tea and small green henchmen of Pure Evil.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw. So much love for the Scott and so little for me.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
You could come out and build snowmen with us?

I may need someone to pick me up out of a snowbank if this headache gets much worse. Heh.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I suppose I could.

You clearly need supervision by someone responsible.

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm making cocoa (normal, mint, and vanilla) and cider (fresh, of course, with cloves and oranges and stuff!) for when you all get in.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Taste tests! All of that needs to be taste tested!

Also, uh, what do you do if you have . . . uh, a friend, who may have drooled in his keyboard?

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Taste testing will comence in about five minutes. Come on down.

Generally, what I do, is tell my friend to turn the keyboard over and let it dry. That way none of the hypothetical drool gets into the circuitry. Silly boy.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Woot! And noted. I'll tell . . . my friend. ;)

[identity profile] x-madelyn.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, that sounds good. Mind if I snag a couple of mugs for the hard-working doctorly types? It's practically freezing-temperature down in melab, so almost the same as being out in the snow. And I could always attempt to build a snowman out of cotton wool...

[identity profile] x-kitten.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course you can. Trust me, even after Jamie and his multiple stomachs get done there will be pleanty left over, more than just the snowpeople builders will be able to have.

Not that I'm ever going to turn down the chance to get a cotton wool snowman.

[identity profile] x-icarus.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Only if you're an old Chinese woman.

[identity profile] x-foliate.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Swine.

...

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-02-03 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
There's always the hilarious hijinks of chasing a turtle on a supercharged Roomba.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I told you, Doug. We're done.

Well. Unless you actually put my turtle back on the Roomba.

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a -joke-, Mr. Summers. Did you see me this morning at five AM? No. Ergo, -I was kidding-.

[identity profile] x-cable.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Doug? If you're going to be cranky, do it with some style. Follow my sterling example.

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm getting a lot more satisfaction out of just plain being cranky.

[identity profile] x-forge.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I'd suggest the bike versus the RX-7 in a street race, but you can't drive both. Oh, if only you knew someone skilled and brilliant enough to handle that car like they knew every inch of its chassis just by looking at it and - oh, wait. You do...

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Two, actually, but somehow, I'm thinking he's gonna say no.

[identity profile] x-forge.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 02:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know, can you ride a motorcycle? We might be able to get him to cave if we find his weakness.

Mr. Summers? You have weaknesses, right? Wine? Women? Kryptonite?

[identity profile] x-cypher.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
No can do. Talk to Jamie for that one, he's driven the thing.

[identity profile] x-crowdofone.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
I borrowed it without permission to go warn Alison the house was being invaded. While fighting off having a tranked dupe in my room. Not the same thing at all. It's a miracle I didn't get myself killed and I'm not in a hurry to do it again.

I wouldn't mind learning to ride a motorcycle, though. Just not that one, and not at north of a hundred and twenty miles an hour in the dark with people with guns around.

[identity profile] x-cyclops.livejournal.com 2005-02-04 03:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Forge? This is what's known as wishful thinking.

[identity profile] x-pete.livejournal.com 2005-02-05 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
This is not a terribly bloody teacherly thought, but, I really wish I'd know you when I was 15. We could have made a sodding fortune.
